Descripción del empleo

A product engineer is responsible for the design and creation of products. Specializes in the introduction of the new products, optimizing product designs, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow. Maintain existing products, processes, and specifications, reviews existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Execute all the activities related with the new product introduction or product modification.
• Develop new fixtures.
• Line configuration.
• Develop of new work instructions.
• Process/ equipment validation.
• Samples for customers.
• Visual Aids.
• Generate the necessary documentation for releasing a new product.
• Participate in the investigation of customer complaints, root cause analysis and solution proposal.
• Participate in the estimation of the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of an engineering project and monitor activities, allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met.
• Creation of Flow Chart for different processes.
• Participate on the risk analysis as PFMEA, FMEA and others.
• Generate engineering change orders/requests to support process and product changes.
• Validate the integrity of BOM’s of the launch products.
• Review and sustain MRP-ECRP systems (BOM, Routings, PV, QN, cost etc.) directly or indirectly with the rest of the departments.
• Support other departments with the corrective or preventive actions involved with the product line on charge.
• Supports recurring meetings, both internal and external, to track the progress of the project.
• Make fluid presentation of the assigned projects for the Product Managers and Management team.
• Perform and coordinate training to assembly for the creation of a new product.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in new product introduction.

• Essential knowledge on ISO 9001:2015.
• Intermediate level on CAD.
