Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in SCM or Business, or 3+ years procurement experience.
• Advanced Spanish and English, written and verbal.
• Experience with bid, evaluate, award cycles and contract execution.
• Proven cost reduction track record.
• Strong communication and project scheduling skills.
• Excellent MS Office and quick learner of new software.

Responsibilities

• Execute cradle-to-grave purchasing activities for a commodity group or project.
• Negotiate favorable terms, discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives for the project or category.
• Track key cost drivers and market factors for the category.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with engineering and corporate goals.
• Identify corrective actions for quality or schedule issues with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering and project management teams.
• Close out procurement operations including settlement of claims.
