Job summary

FLSmidth in Monterrey seeks a Sr. Purchasing Specialist to drive procurement activities for mining equipment projects. You will analyze requisitions, plan orders within budget, and ensure delivery dates align with customer PO requirements.

You will negotiate with vendors, evaluate offers, and select optimal suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with Sales, Engineering and Logistics. Proficiency in ERP (Oracle/D365) and MS Office is essential, and English communication is a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business; 5–8 years in purchasing.
• Experience in domestic and global purchasing.
• ERP knowledge (Oracle / D365) required.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
• Knowledge of mining equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Plan and execute orders within budget and delivery dates.
• Issue inquiries and evaluate supplier offers; select vendors.
• Expedite orders and manage supplier relationships with Sales, Engineering, Logistics.
• Handle post-dispatch customer issues and ensure on-time deliveries.
