Job summary

KBR Monterrey is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support large EPC projects by managing end-to-end procurement processes and negotiating terms with suppliers. The role requires bilingual proficiency (Spanish and English) and a background in SCM or Business with 3+ years in procurement within global EPC contexts.

The position is project-based for approximately one year, with potential extension based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
• Undergraduate degree preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business and/or 3+ years of Procurement/SCM experience with a global EPC company.
• Experience in purchasing including bid, evaluate, award cycle, execution of agreements, and changes.
• Proven track record in cost reduction programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute cradle-to-grave purchasing activities (bid, evaluate, award, execute agreements, changes).
• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives for projects or categories.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure timely material flow.
• Maintain supplier base and develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
