Job summary

Eastman Industrial Supply, Inc. is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing activities, materials, parts, and equipment following established policies.

You will review requisitions, identify suppliers, issue RFQs, analyze offers, and issue purchase orders while expediting where needed.

This role requires market awareness and the ability to qualify suppliers, with work primarily within your division or site.

Responsibilities

Purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, delivery, and terms. Not heavily involved in development of specifications, but work is more complex than buying off-the-shelf items. Reviews and approves purchase requisitions. Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations. Analyzes and selects suppliers and issues purchase orders; follows-up and expedites as necessary. Investigates and qualifies suppliers. Monitors market trends and conditions.

Qualifications

Experienced. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; performing all duties of assigned role, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction. Impact of work is primarily within own division or site.
