Fritz Dräxlmaier GmbH & Co. KG in San Luis Potosí, MX seeks a Procurement LTS AM to assure and optimize procurement of direct and indirect materials for the DRX Group, with emphasis on cost reduction and quality.

You will collaborate with global buyers and analyze markets to strengthen sourcing strategies. Role requires 3-5 years in automotive procurement, contract negotiations, and business English proficiency.

Formación

• BD or related field experience and procurement exposure.
• English at business level for daily operations and suppliers.
• Knowledge of automotive procurement standards and contracts.

Responsabilidades

• Support global lead buyer in expanding commodity strategies.
• Observe and analyze applicable procurement markets to optimize costs.
• Issue, compare and evaluate bids on price, quality and delivery.
• Execute cost-reduction actions per plan and targets.
• Identify savings opportunities and promote substitutes/tech.
• Negotiate and manage complex supplier relationships and agreements.
• Support supplier selection, evaluations, and audits with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with make-or-buy analyses and internal stakeholder collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and security policies.

Objective of the position

Assure and optimize procurement of direct and indirect material for the DRX Group for a commodity, especially cost reduction, taking into account quality aspects; primary contact person to supplier (‘owner’ of supplier).

• Support the global lead buyer/senior buyer in expanding global commodity strategies
• Observe and analyze the applicable procurement markets
• Support the Purchasing technical project leader (FPL-P) during the project phase
• Request, compare and evaluate extensive bids, taking into account price, quality, delivery performance and technology; conduct cost reduction actions according to activity plans and targets set
• Identify and realize cost-savings potentials
• Promote new technologies and substitutes, including initiation of approval processes
• Implement setup of complex procurement relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiations and management
• Implement supplier management within the commodity as needed, in cooperation with the global lead buyer/senior buyer, including supplier selection, concluding supplier agreements, conducting supplier evaluations, cooperating in supplier development and supplier audits, escalation of issues as needed to management
• Cooperate in make or buy analyses and decisions
• Cooperates with internal cross-functional customers as required
• Manage the supplier determination process
• Assure the search, evaluation, selection, approval and setup of new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant units
• Directing and supporting associates to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality, environmental, occupational, health and safety (ISO 45001) management systems.
• Responsible for respecting the DRÄXLMAIER Group Information Security Policy in their respective area of responsibility. Is also committed to meeting the business information security challenges of the organization. Promotes and supports the effort to deploy implementing the appropriate financial and human resources

Requirements:

• Professional career: BD Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• Relevant experience: 3-5 years working in the role in the automotive environment, Contract Negotiations, Automotive Product Knowledge.
• English : Business Level.
