Flex is seeking a Senior Sr Director, Process Engineering in Guadalajara to lead process engineering for a large manufacturing organization. You will oversee technical support, process development, cost effectiveness, and product quality, directing a team of senior managers and coordinating with design and development.

• BA/BS/MBA in Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Process Engineering Manager or similar leadership in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT/PTH, welding/soldering, PVA, press-fit, and assembly).
• Advanced English level for direct customer interaction.
• Experience managing EDMs/EDMS and cost control of engineering costs.
• Solid background in Industrial Engineering layout to support process efficiency.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Sr Director, Process Engineering located in Guadalajara, North. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sr Director, Process Engineering role will be responsible for Oversees the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements for the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Directs efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What a typical day looks like:

Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several senior Manufacture engineering managers involved in activities related to process engineering capabilities and statistical process control systems. Organize and guide Project/Program reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications. Partner with other functional managers to ensure manufacture-engineering activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations. Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate managers to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. Plan, budget, and manage the Manufacture Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance and NPI group costs in line with corporate objectives. Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. Develop, modify, and implement company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers in controversial situations, contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS/MBA in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience as a Process Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT/PTH, welding/soldering, PVA, press-fit, and assembly.
• Advanced English level, with strong ability to interact directly with customers and support high customer exposure.
• Experience managing EDMs/EDMS, including expense management and control of engineering-related costs.
• Solid background in cost control and Industrial Engineering layout to support process efficiency and operational performance.
