Koch is seeking a Process Engineer for the Production Sample Line to own manufacturing processes for prototypes, customer samples, and NPIs prior to mass production.

You will collaborate across Product Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to build robust processes and transfer products to mass production with high quality and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, or related manufacturing functions.
• Experience developing, improving, and validating manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, routing structures, work instructions, and process controls.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Define and validate manufacturing processes for prototypes, customer samples, pilot builds, and new product introductions.
• Develop manufacturing flows, routing structures, process sequences, and standard work instructions.
• Ensure build readiness by coordinating materials, tooling, equipment, testing resources, and production planning activities.
• Provide hands‑on manufacturing floor support during prototype builds, customer samples, engineering validations, and production readiness activities.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point during build execution and process‑related issues.
• Lead root cause analysis activities using structured problem‑solving methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree, 8D, and CAPA)
• Drive corrective actions that improve process stability, manufacturing performance, and product quality.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, process instructions, PFMEAs, Control Plans, build reports, and lessons learned.
• Validate process capability, tooling readiness, labor models, quality controls, and manufacturing capacity to support successful production transfer.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities focused on yield, throughput, cycle time, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and waste reduction.

Process Engineer (Production Sample Line)

As a Process Engineer – Production Sample Line, you will play a critical role in the successful introduction of new products by serving as the technical owner of manufacturing processes for prototypes, customer samples, engineering builds, pilot runs, and NPI products prior to mass production. You will have the opportunity to transform product concepts into manufacturable solutions, ensuring process readiness, manufacturing feasibility, high quality, and rapid execution while helping accelerate successful product launches.

Our Team

You will be part of a cross-functional NPI organization that works closely with Product Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineering, Tooling, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams. Together, we focus on building robust manufacturing processes, mitigating risks, and ensuring new products are successfully transferred into mass production.

What You Will Do

• Define and validate manufacturing processes for prototypes, customer samples, pilot builds, and new product introductions.
• Develop manufacturing flows, routing structures, process sequences, and standard work instructions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, or related manufacturing functions.
• Experience developing, improving, and validating manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, routing structures, work instructions, and process controls.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
• Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Experience leading prototype builds, customer sample builds, EV, DV, PV, or pilot production activities.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, process capability studies, and advanced quality tools.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or other high-mix, high-complexity manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience analyzing process capability (Cp/Cpk) and manufacturing readiness.
• Experience collaborating with Tooling, Automation, or Test Engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance.
