Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Mechanical Assembly) in Guadalajara, North Campus to strengthen our PCB assembly operations. You will design, develop, and optimize mechanical assembly processes, ensuring manufacturability and continuous improvement.

Qualified candidates have a BA/BS, strong NPI and mass production experience, and hands-on knowledge of torque tools, PLCs, cooling systems, pneumatics, poka‑yoke, and maintenance, with advanced English.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge in NPI & Mass Production.
• Experience in mechanical assembly / electronics processes.
• Advanced English.
• Technical knowledge: intelligent torque tools, PLCs, liquid cooling systems, pneumatics, poka‑yoke, and maintenance.
• Process Development.
• Team Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical assembly processes capable of ensuring stability, capacity, and continuous improvement.
• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Develop, implement and take ownership of process control methodologies.
• Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, this role involves responsibilities for process‑engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop mechanical assembly processes capable of ensuring stability, capacity, and continuous improvement
• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
