Amazon is seeking a Program Manager for Network Optimization in Mexico City to lead long-term planning across the transportation network. You will develop capacity plans, optimize resource use, and deliver insights to improve network performance within cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in program management, strong data analysis, and fluency in English. You will collaborate with Ops, Network Design, and Finance to ensure scalable, cost-effective package movement.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and execute long-term volume or capacity plans for middle mile/last mile.
  • Own monthly productivity metrics by optimizing utilization and route performance.
  • Conduct RCA for cost overruns and capacity gaps; deliver remediation plans.
  • Collaborate with Sort Center Ops, Fulfillment Centers, Network Design, and Finance to align capacity with signals.
  • Generate and deliver weekly Flash reports for leadership review.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce planning time and increase automation.
  • Manage cost trade-offs by quantifying speed vs. cost vs. utilization.
  • Translate demand signals into actionable capacity plans across lanes and nodes.
  • Deliver an optimal plan for annual initiatives to meet monthly goals.

PM, Network Optimization, Network Planning - Long Term Optimization

The Transportation Capacity team seeks a results-driven Program Manager to lead planning initiatives across Amazon Mexico's transportation network. This role drives network optimization, cross-functional execution, and data-driven decision-making to ensure cost-efficient package movement at scale.

You will own one or more planning verticals — Volume Planning, or Capacity Planning — developing capacity plans, optimizing resource utilization, and delivering actionable insights that improve network performance, designing the optimization through OP1/3YF and OP2.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-term volume or capacity plans (middle mile/last mile) ensuring network readiness to meet demand without creating restrictions
  • Own monthly productivity metrics by optimizing utilization, route frequency, allocation, or trailer fill rates, Last mile Productivity against OP2 targets; identify and close gaps between planned and actual performance
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for cost overruns and capacity gaps; deliver remediation plans with clear owners, timelines, and recurrence prevention measures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sort Center Operations, Fulfillment Centers, Network Design, OTR Planning, ATS, and Finance to align capacity with upstream volume signals and downstream delivery requirements
  • Generate and deliver weekly Flash reports with performance summaries and action plans for senior leadership review
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual planning time, minimize re-work, and increase automation through tool development and system integration
  • Manage cost trade-off decisions by quantifying the impact of speed vs. cost vs. utilization across the network
  • Translate demand signals (volume forecasts, labor demand, truck/vehicles requirements) into actionable capacity plans across all lane types and node categories
  • Delivering an optimal OP1/3YF and OP2, with a Year plan initiatives to achieve monthly business goals.

The Transportation Capacity team ensures Amazon Mexico's network has the right resources, in the right place, at the right time. We own, volume forecasting, and capacity for middle mile ans last mile, across the country. Basic Qualifications
