GE Vernova in Querétaro is seeking a Platform SRE to own the Kubernetes platforms and cloud infrastructure supporting our energy software SaaS. You will design, deploy, and harden EKS clusters across regions, manage IaC pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable operations.

The role emphasizes incident response, observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and collaboration with global teams to meet uptime targets and FinOps goals, while advancing platform reliability and automation.

Formación

• 6–8 years in SRE or Platform Engineering roles for 24/7 cloud environments.
• Experience with incident response and crisis management in mission-critical apps.
• Proven ability to design hardened Kubernetes platforms and secure cloud networks.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deploy hardened EKS clusters across AWS regions.
• Build reusable Terraform and Ansible modules for provisioning.
• Implement Policy as Code guardrails and secure network perimeters.
• Define resource quotas and manage ingress and service mesh.
• Lead platform-level smoke tests, DR exercises, and sizing optimization.
• Serve as highest escalation point for Kubernetes internals.
• Automate repetitive tasks (upgrades, patching) to boost engineering time.
• Develop observability dashboards with Prometheus and Grafana.
