Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to own APIs for payments, subscriptions, and auth in a 100% distributed team. You will optimize services for speed, cost, and correctness while building scalable integrations across platforms.

You will work with product, mobile, and web teams to keep the backend ahead of product needs, using TS/Node, Docker, and Kubernetes in a cloud-first environment.

Formación

• Proven backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform; working knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to reason about system correctness and billable workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and own backend APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve existing services for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Ensure changes are correct before shipping and add safeguards.
• Automate repetitive parts of the role to focus on higher impact work.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web to keep backend architecture forward.
