Forvia in Mexico's Guanajuato region seeks a Shipping Supervisor to coordinate finished goods from final assembly lines and manage daily shipments to customers, aligned with the production plan.

The role requires experience in production, inventory control, shipping in an industrial setting, basic English, and knowledge of PC&L systems, with rolling shifts and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate finished goods collection from final assembly lines per production plan.
• Manage daily shipments to customers and respond to delivery needs.
• Attend safety topics and ensure ISO/OSH compliance in area.
• Monitor customer delivery program and coordinate with transport teams.
• Optimize resources (men, equipment and flows).
• Maintain safety stocks and ensure PDP consistency.
• Keep Kanban system running with leveling board.
• Provide timely ASN notifications to customers.
• Manage customer portals to track KPIs (EDI, ASN, SMART, COVISINT).
• Follow up procurements with PDP and drive continuous improvement.

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

The role of the Shipping Supervisor within a plant is to coordinate the collection of finished goods from the final assembly lines based on the production plan, and to manage daily shipments to customers. Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and attend all topics related to safety operation.
• Ensure the accomplishment of requirements for ISO TS 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Systems focused on PC&L.
• Ensure and facilitate compliance of applicable controls from Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety management systems within their area of responsibility.
• Analyse, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring the shipments of goods to customers.
• Follow up the achievement of the customer delivery program by managing alerts and coordinating with transportation and delivery of pieces.
• Optimise resources (men, equipment and flows).
• Manage the pool and safety stocks levels.
• Check that the sequencer and procurements are consistent with the PDP.
• Keep running the KANBAN system based on the leveling board.
• Ensure proper electronic notifications to customers (ASN's in time).
• Manage the customer portals to drive and track key performance indicators such as EDI, ASN, SMART, COVISINT.
• Track empty containers process with customers (including sister plants or intercompany).

Minimum Education Level

• Technical career or bachelor’s degree ideally.

Professional Experience

• Experience in production, inventory control, and shipping in an industrial environment.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Systems focused on PC&L.
• Availability for rolling shifts.
