Forvia is seeking a Production Supervisor in Silao, Guanajuato to manage staffing, training, and process improvements across autonomous production groups. You will drive QCDP results, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinate with shift leaders to optimize performance using digital tools.

Ideal candidates have lean manufacturing knowledge, basic English, and experience in personnel management and continuous improvement.

Formación

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes in automotive manufacturing (Lean).
  • Willingness to rotate shifts monthly.
  • Basic production safety knowledge.
  • Knowledge of 8D, Core Tools, PC&L, and HSE regulations.
  • Familiar with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer requirements.
  • Experience in personnel management and payroll-related follow-up.
  • Monitor production performance indicators and act on results.
  • Basic understanding of standardized work.
  • Basic English proficiency and Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead QCDP objectives and ensure GAP areas meet targets.
  • Staffing, training, and development of team members.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and environmental controls.
  • Implement improvement plans and monitor attendance and overtime.
  • Promote continuous improvement and effective use of digital tools (mlean, DMC, Palantir).
  • Coordinate with UAP Manager and shift supervisors for information flow.

bYour Mission, Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and CTPAT standards applicable to production.
  • Ensure proper staffing, training, and development of team members.
  • Ensure and facilitate compliance with applicable Environmental Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System controls within their area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with the 7 Safety Fundamentals throughout the plant.
  • Lead the company's Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (QCDP) objectives and ensure that areas of responsibility achieve performance targets.
  • Establish QCDP goals for each Autonomous Production Group (GAP) under their responsibility and implement improvement plans to achieve the desired results.
  • Understand, interpret, and implement quality basics within their areas of responsibility to prevent defective products from being shipped to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with the 7 Employee Empowerment Basics (7 EE Basics) within their areas of responsibility.
  • Implement and continuously improve standardized work within their areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain strict adherence to 5S standards.
  • Establish effective communication with the UAP Manager, Production Supervisors from other shifts, and support functions to ensure transparent information flow and collaboration.
  • Manage workshops and improvement activities aimed at increasing efficiency, improving quality, and reducing waste within their areas (HOSHIN, SMED).
  • Ensure the appropriate staffing levels for each Autonomous Production Group (GAP) under their responsibility according to customer demand.
  • Validate attendance records and overtime worked by personnel under their supervision to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Promote the professional development of personnel under their supervision by conducting job evaluations in a timely manner as established in the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Understand, interpret, and apply the internal work regulations.
  • Ensure that employees under their supervision have and properly use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure that working conditions fully comply with safety requirements and implement and monitor mandatory safety rules within their areas of responsibility.
  • Commit to attending all job-related training programs scheduled by Management and apply the knowledge acquired as part of a continuous improvement process.
  • Understand and effectively use the plant's digital tools and systems (mlean platform, DMC, and Palantir) and ensure that GAP leaders also use them effectively.

bMinimum Education Level
  • Preferred: Industrial Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
bProfessional Experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes in the automotive industry (Lean Manufacturing).
  • Availability to rotate shifts on a monthly basis.
  • Knowledge of basic production safety practices.
  • Knowledge of 8D methodology, Core Tools, PC&L Basics, and HSE regulations.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 standards, and customer requirements.
  • Experience in personnel management and administration.
  • Monitoring and follow‑up of production performance indicators.
  • Basic knowledge of standardized work practices.
  • Basic English proficiency.
