Potential progression from Deputy General Manager to General Manager based on experience. Experience in Mexico's steel or metal products sectors is highly desired, with readiness to relocate to Monterrey.

Formación

• Previous professional experience leading a manufacturing facility in Mexico.
• Strong background in steel, metal products, or related industrial manufacturing.
• Leadership at Plant Manager/Director level or similar senior role.
• Experience with 100+ employees is preferred.
• Strong cost, pricing, and business strategy understanding.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee operations of the Mexico facility.

• Lead corrective actions for quality and delivery issues and ensure follow-up.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to oversee and manage our operations in Mexico.

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overall plant and business operations, including manufacturing, quality, cost management, customer relations, and financial performance.

Depending on experience, the successful candidate may join as Deputy General Manager and transition into the Site Head / General Manager role within approximately one year, or may be considered directly for the General Manager position.

We are particularly interested in candidates with previous work experience in Mexico and a strong background in the steel, metal products, or related manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee overall operations of the Mexico facility.
• Understand customer expectations and develop a strong customer-focused culture within the organization.
• Coach and develop employees to improve operational performance, quality, delivery, and accountability.
• Lead corrective actions for quality and delivery issues and ensure effective follow-up.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, product profitability, and selling prices.
• Develop business and pricing strategies based on production costs and market conditions.
• Review financial statements and profitability by product and customer to support management decisions.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, finance, and other departments.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and handle customer visits and executive-level meetings.
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with US headquarters.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience working in Mexico is required.
• Strong experience in the steel, metal products, or related industrial manufacturing sector.
• Experience with a steel-related trading company may also be considered, particularly with strong exposure to manufacturing operations and industrial customers.
• Previous leadership experience at the Plant Manager, Manufacturing Director, Operations Director, Administrative Director, General Manager, or similar senior management level.
• Experience managing an organization or manufacturing facility of approximately 100+ employees preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing costs, profitability, pricing, and business strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, improve organizational performance, and resolve operational issues.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Proficient Japanese and business-level English are required.
• Spanish is not required, but conversational Spanish is highly preferred.
• Must be willing to relocate to the Monterrey, Mexico area.
