Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Mexico is seeking a Director of Plant Engineering to optimize local and export supply chain performance while driving operational excellence.

Lead capital projects, oversee utilities, and champion environmental and energy-saving initiatives, reporting to the plant leadership and collaborating across functions.

Requires strong leadership, English fluency, and a track record in FMCG manufacturing with a focus on safety, quality, and labor relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).
• 8+ years of plant engineering, facilities, or manufacturing supply chain management.
• Experience managing directly reporting teams in industrial settings.
• Advanced, fluent English communication.
• Capital project management and site utilities experience.
• Experience with safety and quality standards.
• FMCG/CPG experience preferred.
• Finance acumen: budgets and cost control.
• Labor relations with unions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Project Management & Leadership: oversee plant capital and engineering projects.
• Utilities & Environmental Sustainability: ensure utilities supply and energy reduction.
• Operations & Continuous Improvement: implement FP&R standards to improve costs.
• Stakeholder & External Relations: liaise with corporate leaders and communities.
• Team & Organizational Development: mentor engineering team and set objectives.
