Vertiv in Mexico is seeking a seasoned Production Planning leader to develop and manage production plans that meet demand while optimizing inventory and efficiency.

You will assess capacity, collaborate with procurement and logistics, and drive cross‑functional alignment with sales, engineering, and marketing. Strong analytics, leadership, and Lean knowledge are essential; English and Spanish fluency is required.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations.
  • ERP management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven production planning, scheduling, and inventory management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle) and advanced planning tools.
  • Leadership experience; ability to motivate teams and drive results.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, implement, and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency.
  • Assess production capacity and resource availability to ensure alignment with demand forecasts; recommend capacity expansions or adjustments.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to minimize excess stock and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely materials and delivery schedules.
  • Track KPIs such as production efficiency, on‑time delivery, and inventory turns; identify improvements and implement actions.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and engineering to incorporate trends and changes into production plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production planning team and foster accountability and continuous learning.

Descripción del empleo

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency.
  • Assess production capacity and resource availability to ensure alignment with demand forecasts. Make recommendations for capacity expansions or adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components to support production schedules. Liaise with logistics teams to coordinate transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turns. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, and engineering to incorporate market trends, product changes, and customer requirements into production plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production planning team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience 8-10 years of experience.
  • ERP management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using our ERP system (oracle), and advanced planning tools.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Bilingual English - Spanish
