Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Hermosillo, Sonora is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to plan, schedule, and monitor material flow through the production cycle. You will coordinate purchases to maintain inventory levels, implement JIT and EOQ strategies, and ensure BOM accuracy and vendor competitiveness.

You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies, evaluate supplier bids, and monitor subcontracts to secure best value while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Experience with inventory planning, BOMs, and supplier evaluation is preferred.

Job Description:

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just in Time purchases, use of EOQ - Economic Order Quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive. General application of concepts and principals to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of a moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
