Job summary

Hirschvogel Holding GmbH in Querétaro, Mexico, seeks an engineering professional to drive new product development, process improvements, and engineering changes by turning customer requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective solutions that meet schedule and quality standards.

You will coordinate with global teams, manage launch plans, support manufacturing, and lead risk analyses and VAVE activities to reduce costs while preserving performance.

Responsibilities

• RFQ & Technical Feasibility: Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, tolerances and manufacturing requirements for forging and machining technologies.
• Project Coordination & Customer Interface: Act as primary technical contact for assigned projects; coordinate with global cross-functional teams to execute new product development and engineering change projects.
• Project Planning & Launch Management: Develop, manage and monitor weekly launch timing plans.
• Product & Process Development: Ensure product & process development activities are completed within milestones and established procedures.
• Risk Management & Documentation: Identify risks in timing, scope, cost & quality and implement corrective actions; document analyses, records, decisions, and follow up actions.
• Manufacturing & Series Production Support: Support analyses and optimization of process efficiency, quality, scrap rate and tool cost via SPL approach.
• Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE): Coordinate internal and customer driven VAVE activities throughout the product lifecycle to reduce cost while maintaining performance and quality.
• Technology & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate, implement and develop new technologies and manufacturing processes for optimization and launch of new product groups.

Objective: Drive the development and successful launch of new products, processes, and engineering changes by transforming customer requirements into robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions that are delivered on time, meet quality and customer expectations, and contribute to continuous improvement in products, processes, and manufacturing technologies; while creating measurable value for internal customers and organizational results through proactive communication, strong cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective teamwork.

1. RFQ & Technical Feasibility: Evaluate customer drawings, specifications, tolerances, special characteristics and manufacturing requirements of forging & machining technologies.

4. Product & Process Development: Ensure product & process development activities are completed within the agreed milestones & as per established procedures
5. Risk Management & Documentation: Identify risks in timing, scope, cost & quality and implement corrective actions. Document & maintain analyses, studies, records, decisions, follow up actions according to company procedures, from concept phase until end of production.
6. Manufacturing & series production support:Support analyses & optimization of process efficiency, quality, scrap rate & tool cost via SPL approach.
7. Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE): Coordinate internal & customer driven VAVE activities throughout the product lifecycle. Identify & validate design & process opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining product performance & quality.
8. Technology & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate, implement and develop new technologies and manufacturing processes for the optimization & launch of new product groups.
