TTI, Inc. in Torreón, Mexico seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure production line quality objectives by leading the process-control team. You will collaborate with global Engineering and Operations to apply platform usage to new designs and to implement design considerations for multiple product categories.

The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and ability to manage cross-functional teams. Travel up to 15% nationally and internationally is expected.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or electronic engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
  • Extensive knowledge of Core Tools and statistics.
  • Experience with QMS ISO 9001:2015; auditing desirable.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and problem solving methods (8D, FTA, Ishikawa).
  • Drawing interpretation and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsabilidades

  • Follow up Quality related activities in all production lines.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with the team through communication and proactivity.
  • Monitor daily scrap, FTQ and PPM targets.
  • Approve and follow up PCRs.
  • Follow up to NCMRs, Action Trackers, CARs and SCARs analysis.
  • Evaluate annual performance in Workday.
  • Track multiple projects to ensure compliance with schedule and process.
  • Manage quality engineers and technicians.
  • Develop process inspection methodologies.
  • Supply equipment and tooling to execute Quality activities.
  • Provide support in general activities required by the department.
  • Comply with quality, safety and environmental policy; internal labor regulations.
  • Drive containment actions on quality issues and coordinate staff audits.
  • Monitor audits and non-conforming product quarantine and tracking.
  • Conduct GR&R, CPK studies, and SPC follow ups.
  • Participate in new product launches as a customer liaison.
  • Guide personnel growth within department and organization.
  • Support launches and identify weaknesses for new products.

Academic requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related career.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Previous work experience as Quality Engineer (3-5 years).
  • Extensive knowledge in Core Tools.
  • Practical experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) - ISO 9001:2015 Certified auditor desirable.
  • Knowledge of Engineering standards (Quality tools).
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge in problem solving methodologies (8Ds, FTA, Ishikawa).
  • Drawing interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Handling of statistical software WinSPC, Minitab.
  • Electronical basic knowledge.

General Objective

Ensure compliance with the main Quality objectives for the production lines through the management of the team responsible for process control.
You will collaborate with the global Engineering and Operations teams to apply a platform usage approach to all new designs, while gathering and implementing design considerations for use across multiple product categories.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow up Quality related activities in all production lines.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with the team, through communication and proactivity within the organization.
  • Monitor daily scrap, FTQ and PPM targets.
  • Approve and follow up PCRs.
  • Follow up to NCMRs, Action Trackers, CARs & SCARs analysis.
  • Evaluate annual performance in Workday.
  • Have a solid knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Track multiple projects simultaneously to ensure compliance with Milwaukee Tool’s schedule and process
  • Manage engine quality engineers and technicians.
  • Develop process inspection methodologies.
  • Supply equipment and tooling to execute Quality activities.
  • Provide support in general activities required by the department.
  • Comply with the quality, safety and environmental policy of the company.
  • Comply with the internal labor regulations.
  • Drive containment actions on quality issues.
  • Coordinate audits of your staff that contribute to effective evaluations to avoid customer complaints.
  • Monitor the performance of audits performed as part of the organization’s Quality performance.
  • Non-conforming product quarantine and tracking
  • Conduct GR&R, CPK study, and SPC follow up
  • Active participation in new product launches, acting as a customer.
  • Manage, train and guide the personnel in charge to promote their growth within the department and organization.
