Schneider National, Inc. in Mexico City is seeking a Payroll Analyst II to manage payroll processing, research tax and regulatory changes, and ensure compliance across processes.

The role also involves preparing journal entries, generating management reports, and supporting audits while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize payroll systems.

Formación

  • 2–4 years of payroll experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Review payroll for accuracy.
  • Make recommendations based on payroll findings.
  • Resolve payroll issues through troubleshooting and coordinating with relevant parties.
  • Document resolutions in detail and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Work on projects to improve processes and upgrade systems.
  • Prepare and create journal entries.
  • Generate reports for management review and analysis.
  • Maintain understanding of tax changes.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary information.

Job overview

Schneider is seeking a Payroll Analyst in Mexico City to handle all payroll-related responsibilities. The Payroll Analyst will research tax and law changes to ensure Schneider’s processes remain compliant.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze payroll to ensure accuracy.
  • Make recommendations based on payroll findings.
  • Resolve payroll issues through troubleshooting, researching and communicating with the necessary parties in a timely manner.
  • Document resolutions in detail and escrow complex issues when needed.
  • Work on projects related to improving processes and upgrading systems.
  • Prepare and create journal entries.
  • Generate reports with compiled data for management to review and analyze.
  • Maintain an understanding of all tax changes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information.
