Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Payroll Admin Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across all IS Mexico locations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will drive efficiency through automation, system integrations, and data-driven decisions while partnering with HR, Finance, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of payroll administration experience, preferably in multinational companies.
  • Strong Workday expertise and proven PeopleSoft experience.
  • Experience with payroll modernization, system integrations, and process automation.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, macros, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll legislation and labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll processes for all Mexico IS locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Configure, execute, and validate payroll in Workday and PeopleSoft.
  • Administer Time & Attendance and PNET systems.
  • Act as legal representative for IMSS, FONACOT, INFONAVIT approvals.
  • Prepare payroll accounting reports for Finance and budget support.
  • Drive modernization projects, automation, and data-driven workflows.

Your Role

Are you passionate about payroll operations, digital transformation, and process improvement? As a Payroll Admin Manager at Aptiv, you will lead and optimize end-to-end payroll operations across all IS Mexico locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will drive payroll modernization through automation, system integrations, workflow optimization, and data-driven solutions while collaborating closely with HR, Finance, and Legal teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who combines strong technical expertise with leadership, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Operations and Systems Management
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all IS Mexico locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Configure, execute, and validate payroll processes in Workday and PeopleSoft.
  • Administer the Time & Attendance system and PNET.
  • Act as the legal representative for approvals in IMSS, FONACOT, and INFONAVIT systems.
  • Prepare payroll accounting reports for Finance and support the financial administration of HR budgets.
  • Provide Finance with the payroll information required for budget preparation.
Digital Transformation and Process Improvement
  • Lead payroll systems modernization projects focused on efficiency, standardization, data integrity, and user experience.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize automation solutions, system integrations, and digital tools supporting payroll, timekeeping, labor cost management, and HR administrative processes.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual workload, streamline payroll activities, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen payroll scalability through technology and workflow optimization.
Labor Cost Management and Financial Analysis
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel models for labor cost analysis, forecasting, reporting, and payroll simulations.
  • Implement labor cost reduction strategies aligned with organizational financial goals.
  • Support workforce planning and other strategic labor cost initiatives.
  • Ensure payroll reporting and financial information are accurate, timely, and aligned with business requirements.
Compliance, Audits, and Labor Relations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable payroll legislation, internal policies, and collective labor agreements.
  • Manage and negotiate collective labor agreements, supporting fair and sustainable labor relations.
  • Coordinate internal and external payroll audits and ensure transparency and regulatory compliance.
  • Address government tax audits and ensure compliance with STPS payroll-related audits.
  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct while complying with Internal Work Regulations and plant policies.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead and work with a team of payroll professionals focused on compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to align payroll operations with corporate policies, employee relations, and workforce strategies.
  • Support organizational changes and evolving business requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned according to business and organizational needs.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within multinational companies.
  • Strong Workday expertise is required, along with experience using PeopleSoft.
  • Proven experience in payroll systems modernization, digital transformation, system integrations, and process automation.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, macros, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll legislation and collective labor agreements.
  • Experience in Human Resources and labor relations.
  • Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and results-oriented skills.
