Joyson Safety Systems in Mexico is seeking a packaging and supply chain specialist to design the optimal packaging strategy for new projects while upholding safety, quality and customer service standards.

You will collaborate with manufacturing teams, suppliers and plant operations to develop inbound/outbound logistics, budgets and material flows, while driving lean improvements and inventory optimization across the supply chain. This role offers growth within a global manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and define the optimal supply chain and packaging strategy for new projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
• Develop supply chain concepts covering inbound, outbound, internal logistics, material flows, information flows, and customer delivery processes in close collaboration with manufacturing teams and plant operations.
• Calculate and manage project‑related supply chain and packaging budgets, including cost‑per‑part analyses, logistics investments, and packaging expenditures.
• Identify, assess, and elevate potential industrial, logistics, or packaging‑related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Planning optimal inventory and stock levels across the supply chain with a focus on lead‑time reduction, efficiency, and service performance of expendable and returnable packaging.
• Develop packaging specifications for semi‑finished and finished products, translating customer requirements into practical and cost‑effective packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with assembly engineers, manufacturing project managers, suppliers, and plant teams to ensure packaging solutions meet operational and customer requirements.
• Coordinate the development, testing, validation, and implementation of packaging equipment and materials, ensuring readiness for production trials and customer approvals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean principles and supply chain optimization methodologies to enhance logistics performance and operational efficiency.

KPI Zero Backlog, Back to Basic, Manufacturing Cost, DIO Performance (Inventory), Freight Cost related to packaging.Management of packaging information and container follow up, with knowledge of SAP and Customer portals as Stellantis, Ford, GM, Audi, Daimler, Volvo.

• Ensure quotations and project assumptions are based on standardized equipment, processes, and best practices.

• Planning optimal inventory and stock levels across the supply chain with a focus on lead‑time reduction, efficiency, and service performance of expendable and returnable packaging.
• Develop packaging specifications for semi‑finished and finished products, translating customer requirements into practical and cost‑effective packaging solutions.
