Amentum on Diego Garcia seeks a Recreation Services Coordinator to support a US Navy program, overseeing resale operations, recreational programs, and service delivery while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience, certifications, athletic officiating, and travel readiness for an international deployment; you will train staff, manage inventories, and promote activities for military communities.

Formación

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in recreation-related field.
• OR three years of experience in military recreational services or equivalent civilian sector.
• Minimum of five years of specialized experience in NF-4 within a NAFI or similar middle manager role.
• Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor.
• Background in marketing strategies to promote recreational services.
• Proficiency in officiating sports (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Flag Football).
• Must complete and maintain training including MWR Star Service/AECR, HAZMAT, CPR, First Aid, and local emergency procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; travel-ready with passport.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, coordination, and administration of all MWR programs and services.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations for public areas and hazardous materials.
• Maintain and obtain certifications (CPR, Lifeguard Instructor).
• Officiate sports events (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Flag Football).
• Support resale operations, inventory management, and profitability analyses.
• Develop and promote recreational activities using marketing strategies for military personnel.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through AECR-based training.
• Document staff training and provide on-the-job training.
• Organize and schedule recreational activities tailored to military communities.
• Monitor daily operation of facilities and leagues to meet quality standards.
• Be on-site within one hour for contingencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
