Amentum seeks a Ground Cargo Handler / MHE Operator to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will operate PITs/MHE safely, handle hazardous materials per regulations, and maintain accurate equipment and cargo records in a demanding, remote environment.

You must hold a valid government license, HazMat endorsement, and be able to travel internationally. Passport validity and medical/visa requirements apply for deployment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience operating PITs/MHE in a logistics environment.
• Training per 49 CFR 1910.178 and DoD 4140.1-R regulations.
• Govenment-issued license appropriate to vehicle class/size.
• HAZMAT endorsement on the government license for hazardous materials.
• Strong knowledge of safety rules, inspections, and regulatory requirements for PIT/MHE use.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per DoS guidelines.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements for deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate PITs and MHE to transport, load, and unload cargo safely.
• Handle hazardous materials with proper containment, labeling, and transport.
• Perform load handling, inspections, and operation tailored to equipment and environment.
• Use correct vehicle type based on cargo and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth cargo handling and reporting.
