This position works in a high performing, customer-oriented team environment to support made-to-order manufactured equipment for a national network of direct sales office. Builds relationships with the sales office as well as quality, cost and delivery (QCD) operations personnel to provide end-to-end management of incoming orders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Order Processing

  • Ensures timely processing of orders.
  • Following the standard order processing procedure this position will work with customized made to order equipment and a subset of products.
  • Supports the standard order processing procedure while working with customized made to order equipment as well as a subset of products. Specialized equipment processing will also involve interaction with drafting, engineering and 3rd party modifiers.
  • Processes change orders following the change order process and guidelines.

Customer Service

  • Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Fields incoming calls to deal with mitigation of delays within production, shipping and delivery of products. Also deals with short shipments, damages and product defects.
  • Assures effective and efficient handling of calls and timely processing of orders.
  • Acts as the primary customer contact regarding pricing, shipping and negotiation of order scheduling as well as coordinating specialized delivery requirements.
  • Manages the freight claims process.
  • Handles various special projects

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • One to two years customer service experience

Education/Experience:

Minimum Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic level of applied HVAC equipment knowledge and knowledge of system flow/order processing functions.
