PPG Industries in Mexico seeks a Logistics & Materials Planning Specialist to ensure on-time availability of materials for automotive production. You will coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage material supply and inventory levels, while supporting billing and reporting.

Reporting to the Optima Solutions Site Manager, you will monitor demand forecasts, maintain stock accuracy, use SAP/MRP/EDI, and produce Excel or Power BI reports.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years in logistics, materials planning, or supply chain.
• Knowledge of SAP, MRP, or EDI.
• Proficient in Excel; Power BI preferred.
• English business proficiency.
• On-site availability.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain effective communication with customers regarding material availability and delivery status.

As a Logistics & Materials Planning Specialist , you will help ensure that materials are available on time to support customer production at automotive manufacturing sites. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate material supply to ensure customer production requirements are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and help prevent material shortages or excess stock.
• Review customer demand forecasts and support material planning activities.
• Coordinate product deliveries to customer locations.
• Track material consumption and support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with the introduction of new materials and phase-out of obsolete materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in logistics, materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP, MRP, EDI, or similar systems.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (reports, formulas, pivot tables).
• Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools is preferred.
• English proficiency (able to communicate in a business environment).
• Availability to work on-site.
