Amazon seeks an Operations Manager to lead inbound/outbound operations, or a functional process across shifts within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. You will coach 3-7 Area Managers and 100-300 hourly associates, driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement to deliver faster, more accurate orders.

Formación

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 8+ years of operations management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of strong operations management proficiency in data analysis.

Operations Manager, Worldwide Operations

If so, the Amazon team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results. The person will be responsible for creating and executing a worldwide supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations. The role requires heavy index on dive deep, bias for action, and ownership.


As an Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead an inbound operation, outbound operation, or a functional process on a specified shift or across multiple shifts within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. You will be responsible for leading, developing and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes innovation possible. One of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team to become the best leaders they can be.


Job Requirements


  • Capacity Planning and Operational experience.

  • Lead a group of Area Managers towards success.

  • Manage several business Stakeholders (Retail/FBA) to drive and improve Seller/Vendor Experience.

  • Innovate and drive continuous improvement projects.

  • Deliver results : Cost and Customer Experience.

  • Frequent walking in the building and around area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length


Key Job Responsibilities


  • Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and managers

  • Lead and develop a team of 3-7 Area Managers (front-line supervisors) and 100-300 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles

  • Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed

  • Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement and recognition purposes.

  • Execute Daily Capacity planning to guarantee success at the site.

  • Create, communicate and maintain quality control policies and standard work procedures to Area Managers and associates

  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers

  • Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor

  • Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations

  • Execute Daily Capacity planning to guarantee success at the site.

Basic Qualifications


  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

  • 8+ years of operations management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 8+ years of Strong Operations Management Proficient in Data Analysis


Preferred Qualifications


  • 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

  • Experience supporting hourly workforces of 50+ employees and leading teams

  • MBA, or Master's degree
