Flextronics - The Flex Company in Guadalajara, Mexico, seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead the operations on the North Campus production floor and drive operational excellence as SpinCo integration begins.

The role reports to the Operations Engineering Manager and requires BA/BS, prior Production/Operations Manager experience, strong people management, and proficiency with production control systems; English skills and manufacturing experience are valued.

  • Guide department activities to support design of new products and production techniques.
  • Collaborate with management, production, and marketing to resolve manufacturing feasibility and costs.
  • Forecast operating costs and direct budget requests.
  • Partner with team to develop strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resources.
  • Prioritize production schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Regulate relations with executives and major customers to maintain relationships.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end‑to‑end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, the Operation Manager role involves responsibilities for managing all strategic operational processes and resources, and leading an organization to achieve and maintain operational excellence. You will be responsible for production supervisors and controls on a production floor.

Key Responsibilities

What a typical day looks like:

  • Guides department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and helps on test procedures.
  • Contributes with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Partners with team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
  • Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Regulate relations with the executives and/or major customers to maintain relationships with them.
Required Experience and Qualifications

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as Operation Manager.
  • Intermediate English Knowledge of production control systems (Serials, flows, traceability).
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing.
  • Availability of schedule.
  • People management.
  • Knowledge of all electronics assembly processes and proven experience interacting with all engineering support areas.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
