DiDi Global Inc. is seeking a logistics internship within the Alianza team in Mexico to support settlement, payments, and partner account management. You will own recurring processes from week one and gain visibility into how statements are produced and reconciled.

You’ll work with SQL, Excel, and AI tools to analyze data, build reports, and help automate manual workflows. Fluency in English and willingness to work overlap with China time are required.

Team Overview

Alianza is a startup team inside DiDi building a new logistics supply model in Mexico from the ground up. This internship sits at the operational core of that model — the daily work of making sure partners get paid correctly, accounts run cleanly, and problems get caught before they become expensive.

It is not a shadowing role. You will own real recurring processes from week one, and the quality of your work is visible to the people it affects: fleet partners waiting on a statement, operators waiting on an answer.

Role Responsibilities

1. Settlement and payment support

• Support the settlement cycle end to end: prepare statement data, run reconciliation checks, and help track payments through to completion.
• Cross-check order-level data against pricing rules and flag discrepancies before statements go out.
• Maintain settlement records and supporting documentation so every figure can be traced back to its source.
• Support adjustment and dispute handling: log the case, gather evidence, track it to resolution.

2. Partner account management

• Manage operational accounts for partner fleets: setup, permission changes, activation and deactivation, and periodic audits.
• Keep the partner account roster accurate and current, and make sure account status matches actual cooperation status.
• Serve as the first point of contact for partner account issues, escalating what you can't resolve.

3. Issue collection, tracking, and feedback

• Build and maintain a structured log of operational exceptions — what happened, where, how often, what it cost.
• Turn scattered reports into categorized, quantified issue lists that show which problems are actually worth fixing.
• Track each issue to closure and close the loop with whoever raised it.
• Surface recurring patterns to the team: a problem that appears twenty times is a process defect, not twenty incidents.

4. Reporting and analysis support

• Produce recurring operational reports and dashboards; automate the parts that repeat.
• Run ad-hoc analysis to support decisions on pricing, budget, and partner performance.
• Help translate manual workflows into automated or AI-assisted ones — and document what you built so it outlives your internship.

Role Qualifications

Must have

• Strong data analysis skills — proficient in SQL and Excel; comfortable working with large transaction-level datasets and finding the row that's wrong.
• Comfortable with AI tools — you already use them daily for analysis, documentation, and automation, and can show what you've built.
• Fluent English (working language).
• Able to work evenings to overlap with China time zones — the team spans Mexico and China, and some collaboration happens outside local hours.
• Rigor and accountability. The team handles very important information to the client. Attention to detail and preoccupation with double-checking are required for your routine.
• Hardworking, sharp, and eager to grow — comfortable with ambiguity, asks questions, and takes feedback with an open mind.

Plus

• Chinese is a strong plus — much of the team's internal discussion happens in Chinese.
• Python or other scripting for automation.
• Coursework or experience in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a quantitative field.
• Prior internship in operations, finance, consulting, or a data-heavy role.
