Job summary

Kearney Italia, Inc. is seeking an Operations Consultant focused in Source to join Kearney Activate. You will lead procurement assessments, develop cost models, and drive sourcing transformations for North American client engagements, while applying digital tools and AI-enabled approaches.

Role Overview

As an Operations Consultant, focused in Source, you will lead defined work streams within Kearney Activate client engagements and help clients solve complex, procurement and related supply chain and operations challenges. You will combine functional expertise, structured problem-solving, and strong communication to design practical solutions and support implementation.

The role is suited to a professional who can own work products end to end, work directly with client stakeholders, and contribute to the continued development of Kearney Activate capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Source

Lead procurement assessments, diagnostics, and transformation initiatives.

Execute sourcing work including establishing baselines, cost models, market intelligence, RFX execution, analysis and negotiation strategy.

Lead teams in applying the latest in digital and AI-backed tools and approaches to drive procurement work streams using a range of Kearney proprietary and third-party solutions

Develop recommendations related to sourcing excellence, supplier performance, and procurement of operating models.

Lead clients, independently or with small teams, in change management to ensure value realization with program management, savings tracking, and supplier transition steps

End-to-end Operations impact

Understand and articulate sourcing impacts upstream and downstream in the value chain; i.e. communicate and plan for impacts on demand planning, forecasting, inventory, network optimization, logistics and digital transformation.

Account for broader supply chain impact in designing process improvements, analytical models, performance measures, and implementation of roadmaps.

Kearney Activate and Client Development

Contribute to proposals, client pitches and business development initiatives.

Work flexibly in dynamic environments with varying client needs and project requirements.

Develop intellectual capital, tools, methods, and case studies.

Support Kearney outreach and collaborate with technology and asset-development teams.

Who You Are

5-7 years of experience in consulting, supply chain, procurement, operations or transformation.

Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience working with U.S.-based clients or North American operating environments is a plus.

Strong ownership, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

Ability to structure complex problems, develop actionable recommendations, and present to senior stakeholders.

Comfortable analyzing large datasets and developing advanced Excel models.

Proficiency and ability to guide team in using LLM platforms (ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate workflows for research, and deliverable deployment and validation.

Knowledge of tools such as Coupa, Jaggaer or Keelvar, and other Source-to-contract solutions, with the ability to guide clients and project teams on usage.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms is a plus.

Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay process and systems a plus

Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
