Amentum seeks a Site Safety and Health Officer to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will manage and enforce the Contractor’s safety program, ensuring EM385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16 compliance while leading on-site safety operations.

The role requires 5+ years of safety program experience, OSHA 30-Hour completion, and the ability to deploy internationally. Amentum emphasizes safety leadership and proactive risk management in a remote overseas environment.

Formación

• Minimum five years of experience enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety course completed or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of EM 385-1-1, Section 1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas and travel internationally.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to deploy internationally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as onsite SSHO implementing and administering the safety program and Accident Prevention Plan.
• Remain onsite during work to ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Provide oversight and lead a team including at least one Competent Person at each site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Deliver safety training and guidance to workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Address safety discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare safety records and incident reports per the Accident Prevention Plan.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position.
