Job summary

Merit Medical Systems in Tijuana, Mexico, is seeking a Manager of Facilities to lead the facilities team, coordinate maintenance and construction activities, and ensure safe, compliant operations across all offices and sites.

The role requires extensive coordination with internal departments and outside contractors, with a focus on safety, record-keeping, and continuous improvement. This onsite position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• A minimum of six years of facilities coordination and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods and techniques.
• Ability to resolve problems on a timely basis.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and function as a team member.
• Knowledge of safety related issues and principles.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Manages department personnel by interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating job performance, disciplining, scheduling work and other related responsibilities.
• Project leader on new construction projects and plans, and coordinates with outside contractors regarding construction needs.
• Collects and stores information on facility blueprints.
• Coordinates the maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning of offices and facilities and resolves complaints as they occur.
• Advises and consults with managerial and supervisory staff regarding hazardous communication issues and maintains records.
• Prepares facilities maintenance reports for corporate use.
• Responds to requests for assistance from other departments, attempting to meet the needs described on a timely basis.
• Coordinates and responds to divisions within Merit for installation and movement of equipment for building electrical, plumbing, compressed air, or any other utility needs.
• Performs a variety of related duties to ensure that facilities are maintained and that safety goals are achieved, as required.
