Merit Medical is seeking an EHS professional in the Tijuana area to manage workers’ compensation injuries, maintain medical records, and lead safety initiatives across departments. The role coordinates with labor boards, insurers, and internal teams to promote employee health and safety.

You will develop wellness programs, direct first aid supply management, and drive ergonomic improvements while coordinating with EHS leadership on special projects and incident responses.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field with active licensure to practice in the specified location.
• Minimum four years of experience in a medical facility with health care training in the workplace.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, self-directed, and time-management skills.
• Proven computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing and databases.

Aufgaben

• Manage, recognize, evaluate and monitor workers’ compensation injuries and report trends.
• Maintain medical records and liaise with insurers and boards.
• Direct dispensary/first aid supplies and analyze costs.
• Develop and provide EHS wellness training and programs.
• Recommend actions to control occupational health problems.
• Lead training on employee health and safety issues.
• Support and participate in special EHS projects and return-to-work activities.
• Lead Code Blue team tasks including credentials, training, and documentation.
• Provide updates on injury reports, work status, and return-to-work transitions.
• Assess ergonomic needs and address hazardous conditions in production.
• Deliver EHS/ergonomic training to production staff.
• Document return-to-work plans in global injury logs.
