SBM Offshore is seeking a Painter to perform shipboard maintenance, including cleaning, blasting and painting, under the GP Foreman’s guidance. The role requires minimum 1 year in coating prep and application and 3 years supervising painters or blasters for lead duties. Offshore safety and MSDS familiarity are essential.

The position requires medical fitness for offshore work and involves supervising a crew to ensure safe, efficient coating operations on site.

Formación

• 1 year’ experience in preparation cleaning, blasting, and applying coatings with experience of operating Compression, Blasting, Cleaning, equipment and using associated materials as appropriate.
• For acting as Lead Painter, the candidate must prove a minimum of 3 year’ experience supervising teams of painters/ blasters.

Responsabilidades

• The Painter and crew will work safely and will ensure that all aspects of shipboard maintenance and preservation activities (cleaning, blasting, spraying or hand painting, tool cleaning and housekeeping) are carried out safely and effectively.
• The designated Painter will carry out maintenance under the direction of the GP Foreman and has the authority to direct his painting crew. He will ensure the safety of himself, team members, visitors and subcontractors within the limits of his responsibility.
