Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to lead instrument asset maintenance on offshore vessels. You will supervise Instrument Technicians and subcontractors, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in instrumentation or recognized equivalent.
• 5 years’ offshore experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
• Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
• Experience in Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• COMP-EX Certified.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to CEFR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust the condition of Instrument Assets, comply with safety procedures, and ensure timely maintenance.
• Monitor and assess performance and condition of electrical assets using reliable data.
• Diagnose faults in instrument assets and determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Manage pollution control measures by limiting discharges and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Lead and supervise the team, coordinate resources, and promote competency through training.
