Carrier is seeking a Quality Engineer – NPI & Process Quality in Mexico for a one-year project to ensure successful product launches and mature processes. You will drive prevention and detection controls, risk management, and continuous improvement while tracking FPY, CPK, PPM, Scrap and Warranty costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or NPI.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP.
• Experience leading problem-solving initiatives using 8D, A3, or 4 Blocker.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and testing systems such as Leak/Run/Electrical tests.
• Experience analyzing FPY, PPM, CPK, Scrap, Rework, Warranty Costs.
• Experience with process validation and certification activities.
• Advanced Excel/Minitab or similar statistical tools.

Responsabilités

• Design and lead strategies to reduce quality escapes and warranty costs.
• Develop and implement product and process audits and test certifications (Run Test, Leak Test).
• Implement monitoring to meet specifications and certification requirements (AHRI/ASME).
• Lead problem-solving projects using 8D, A3 and 4 Blocker methodologies.
• Analyze KPIs like FPY, PPM, CPK, Scrap, Rework, and Warranty Costs.
• Ensure timely execution and lasting effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Maintain Quality Management System documentation per Carrier standards.
• Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Certification activities.
• Manage quality risks during NPI and process changes.
• Review process control docs for internal/customer/regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement for process maturity and operational excellence.
• Support workforce development through training initiatives.
