Corning Incorporated is seeking a Quality Engineer III to develop and maintain quality systems that support manufacturing excellence and NPI. You will lead APQP and root cause investigations, partnering with Engineering and Operations to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement across processes.

The role requires strong knowledge of APQP, NPI, AIAG Core Tools, and SPC, with English proficiency and ISO 9001 experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing product transfers, NPI programs, and manufacturing transfers across multiple sites.
• Experience leading or participating in quality improvement and project development initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, NPI, and AIAG Core Tools.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
• Project Management experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems supporting manufacturing excellence and ISO/industry requirements.
• Lead APQP and NPI activities, root cause investigations, and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
• Drive continual improvement activities (5S, Kaizen, lean methods) to enhance the quality system.
• Create training to build quality awareness across the organization.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products per customer requirements.
• Ensure products and processes comply with the quality management system requirements.
• Create and maintain updated quality documentation (quality manuals, procedures).
• Provide statistical analysis and support to engineering and production on quality issues.
• Lead the team during Customer Notifications and close actions across departments.
