Job summary

Carrier is seeking a NPD Quality Engineer to proactively identify product and process risks and provide hands-on support during prototype, pilot, launch, and ramp-up builds.

You will lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities and ensure critical product characteristics and process parameters are controlled, integrating lessons learned into new product development. Fluency in English and visa may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Represent Quality throughout the New Product Development process.
• NPD Quality Planning & Risk Management.
• Participate in design reviews, manufacturing reviews, prototype builds, pilot builds, and production readiness reviews.
• Identify potential product and manufacturing risks early in the development cycle.
• Lead and/or support DFMEA and PFMEA activities, ensuring risks are translated into appropriate prevention and detection controls.
• Ensure critical product characteristics and critical process parameters are identified and properly controlled.
• Incorporate lessons learned from previous products, manufacturing defects, warranty issues, reliability findings, and customer complaints into new product development.
• Challenge designs and processes where quality risks have not been adequately mitigated.
