Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an NPD Quality Engineer to proactively identify product and process risks and provide hands-on support during prototype, pilot, and ramp-up builds. You will represent Quality across the New Product Development process, lead DFMEA/PFMEA activities, and collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure critical characteristics are controlled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Gage R&R.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with new product development, prototype, pilot, or production launch.
• Fluent English; visa status acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Represent Quality throughout the New Product Development process.
• Lead NPD Quality Planning & Risk Management.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, pilot builds, and production readiness reviews.
• Identify potential product and manufacturing risks early in development.
• Lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities with appropriate controls.
• Ensure critical product characteristics and critical process parameters are identified and controlled.
• Incorporate lessons learned from defects, warranty issues, and customer feedback.
• Challenge designs and processes with quality risk mitigations.
