Job summary

Hussmann Latinoamérica seeks an experienced NPD Lead to drive new product development across refrigeration systems, controllers, doors, and related platforms. You will guide complex projects from concept to implementation, applying robust design processes to assure quality and reliability.

You will provide strategic direction on customer specifications, standards, and market trends, and mentor the Monterrey Engineering NPD team.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience leading complex projects in Thermodynamics, Mechanical and Electrical design; able to discuss in Technical English.
• Advanced English communications (oral and written).
• Data-driven problem solving to drive continuous improvements and sustainable solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership guiding cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
• Strong ability to set priorities, drive accountability, and deliver results aligned with business goals.
• Translate customer expectations into engineering requirements and innovative solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across organizational levels.
• Business acumen to align engineering decisions with strategy.
• Expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, refrigeration principles, and system performance.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, control logic, and subsystem integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD projects from concept through implementation.
• Apply robust NPD processes to ensure design quality and reliability.
• Provide strategic direction on specs, standards, and market trends for refrigeration products.
• Develop training plans for Monterrey Engineering NPD team.
• Create and standardize design tools for engineering members.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Manage projects with multiple components across product lines.
• Translate customer needs into design objectives and system requirements (QFD).
