Qualcomm Intl Inc., Mexico Branch Office is seeking a Network Engineer to operate the backbone infrastructure behind a global semiconductor leader. You will manage enterprise LAN and Wi‑Fi across Qualcomm sites, collaborating with teams in India and San Diego to support a follow-the-sun operation.

This is more than a network engineering role — it's your chance to grow your career at a Fortune 500 technology leader, work with cutting-edge infrastructure at enterprise scale, and help shape a brand-new team from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor , and troubleshoot enterprise LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure across Qualcomm sitesPerform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and maintenance activities on routing and switching platformsRespond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution within established SLAsExecute standard change requests following established operational procedures and change management processesCollaborate with the India operations team on shift handoffs, shared ticket queues, and operational continuityPartner with the architecture and design team in San Diego to implement approved network designs and standardsMaintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, asset inventories, and configuration baselinesContribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, runbooks, and automation effortsRequired Qualifications3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operationsStrong working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols (STP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)Experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise wireless (Wi-Fi) infrastructureFamiliarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, or similar)Experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, or equivalent)Strong English communication skills — written and verbal — required for daily collaboration with global teamsAbility to work on-site in Mexico City 5 days per weekPreferred QualificationsCisco CCNA or CCNP certificationExperience working in a global, follow-the-sun operations modelFamiliarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting)ITIL Foundation or experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworksMinimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.OR1+ year of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing), or related field.OR3+ years of IT-related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent.Applicants : Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
