Valmet is seeking an experienced accountant to own statutory accounting and financial reporting for Mexican entities. You will ensure MX GAAP compliance, drive month-end close, and support audits while collaborating with global finance teams.

Responsibilities include maintaining statutory books, coordinating with tax teams on VAT and ISR, and strengthening internal controls. A multinational background, Excel proficiency, and ERP familiarity are highly valued.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of MX GAAP and financial reporting in Mexico.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
• Fluent in Spanish with an advanced level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead preparation and maintenance of statutory books in line with MX GAAP.
• Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements such as CFDI and SAT submissions.
• Collaborate with tax teams to support VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR), and audit activities.
• Partner with finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial transactions and reporting.
