Cemex busca un Gerente de Reporting Financiero para asegurar la puntualidad y precisión de los estados financieros y reportes para la sede en México y la alta dirección global. El rol coordina con Contabilidad, Finanzas y Auditoría, garantizando cumplimiento de políticas y estándares contables.

Se requiere experiencia en ERP SAP, HFM y Workiva, con fuerte capacidad de análisis y comunicación para gestionar proyectos complejos y plazos ajustados.

Formación

• Se espera dominio de reporting financiero bajo IFRS/US GAAP y control interno.
• Se busca capacidad de gestionar procesos de cierre y reporting globales.

Responsabilidades

• Gestionar la preparación y distribución de estados financieros mensuales y trimestrales a la dirección y oficinas en México y EE. UU.
• Preparar reportes analíticos de capital de trabajo, flujo de caja libre y KPIs financieros para la gerencia.
• Liderar la optimización de ciclos de reporting y auditorías internas/externas.

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for the timely reporting of internal financial statements for decision making. Prepare financial reports and analysis for our corporate headquarters based in Mexico. Ensure the accuracy of all the information distributed to internal and external audiences and compliance with accounting principles and Company policies, produce quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements. This position works extensively with Technical Accounting, General Accounting & Financial Services Team, Operative Support Team and with corporate areas as Planning, Taxes, Treasury, Risk Management, HR and central controllership among others.

• Manage the monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation and distribution to senior management in the U.S. and corporate offices in Mexico, including but not limited to, consolidated profit and loss statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements and quarterly guarantor financial statements.
• Prepare monthly analytic reports (working capital, FCF, OIE, etc.) and key financial indicators reports for management.
• Support closing activities, reporting and explanations including MTM and LUCA releases.
• Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the financial reporting process.
• Provide external and internal auditors with all necessary information for quarterly/annual audit reviews.
• Ensure compliance of global accounting policies in the consolidated financial statements.
• Lead efforts to partner with cross functional teams to streamline and improve the monthly financial reporting cycle as well as annual audited processes and procedures.
• Partner with Central Controllership & the Global Enterprise Services to ensure accurate accounting.
• Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as required
• Participate in management/strategy/operations meetings and financial reviews, prepare presentations: review w/ Ops, Executive audiences/ Planning/ Other teams.
• Able to understand current financial reports and test/execute changes under deadlines. Must work in collaboration with the rest of the record to report team to manage projects.
• Must ensure financial reports comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (or other relevant gaap) and global policies.
• Able to understand complex corporate structures and the financial relationships between companies as pertains to statutory & management reporting.
• Analyze financial information to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvements
• Expert and deep knowledge in SAP ERP, Hyperion, Workiva, MS office and other Microsoft 360 tools.
• Help to maintain and assess the system of internal controls and actively participate in any audit requirement, both internally and externally.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and automation

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• CPA or MBA (or comparable Master's Degree unless offset by extensive experience)
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Experience in Big 4 Accounting firms preferred
• An excellent knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion with detailed documentation.
• Experience with SEC reporting
• 10+ years in back-office accounting
• Understanding of ERP systems
• Ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion in a deadline driven environment
• Ability to dive into details while maintaining view of big picture
• Proficiency in English
