Lenovo Monterrey is seeking a Trade Compliance & Export Control Specialist to support the company’s global trade compliance program. This role partners with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics and Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence and enable business growth.

Required are 5–8 years in trade compliance, English and Spanish fluency, and deep knowledge of IMMEX Annex 24/30, AEO, and SAP/GTS. The ideal candidate applies strong analytical skills and problem solving in a fast-paced

Formación

  • 5–8 years in foreign trade compliance or related field.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing trade policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IMMEX Annex 24 & 30 and related regulations.

Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a Trade Compliance & Export Control Specialist based in Monterrey to support the company's trade compliance program for the Monterrey operations. This position is part of Lenovo's Global Trade Compliance organization.

The Trade Compliance & Export Control Specialist will support all aspects of Lenovo's trade compliance program, with primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with the IMMEX Program, Annex 24 and Annex 30 requirements, and other applicable Mexican trade compliance and authorized trade programs. The role will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Customs Brokers, and Global Trade Compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance, support operational excellence, and enable business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • A working knowledge of and ability to apply laws and regulations related to global trade compliance
  • Support proficiency in applicable laws and regulations issued by various government agencies and translate them into business compliance best practices.
  • Manage IMMEX/Annex 24 & 30
  • Manage AEO program and other trade accreditation programs
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews
  • Monitor changes in government trade regulations to ensure internal processes and procedures are implemented
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure compliance with all relevant trade-related laws and regulations while enabling the business to achieve objectives
  • Participate in trade compliance associations to stay current on import regulations and best practices
  • Manage a diverse workload which may include changes in priorities and responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of trade compliance experienced in foreign trade, import/export laws, AEO, CTPAT, and experience in IMMEX Annex 24 & 30
  • Experience of interpreting and managing policies and procedures
  • Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures
  • Experience in Annex 24 systems
  • Working SAP/GTS knowledge of export transactions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work throughout the organization
  • Highly motivated, self-directed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English & Spanish)
