Job summary

Marelli Group in Juarez, MX is seeking an MPF Engineer to join the Manufacturing / Automotive Lighting team, reporting to the Plant Manager. This role coordinates and optimizes production processes to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

You will plan and schedule, manage resources, improve processes using lean principles, monitor performance, and collaborate with production, engineering and sales. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• Fluid English
• Experience in production planning, control, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and production management software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule to meet customer demands and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with departments to align production capacity with demand forecasts.
• Optimize materials, labor, and equipment usage to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities for material availability.
• Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and improve workflows.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Track production metrics, such as throughput, quality, and efficiency.
• Analyze deviations from the plan and develop corrective actions.
• Ensure production processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address any quality issues.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and sales teams to align on goals and updates.
• Serve as the point of contact for production schedules and status.
• Address and resolve production-related problems promptly.
• Investigate root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrences.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and changes.
• Prepare and present reports on production performance to management.
