Formación, Educación Y Cultura, S.C. seeks a Biology teacher for middle school to deliver engaging lessons aligned with the academic curriculum and institutional standards.

You will design activities that promote inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking, and incorporate laboratory work when appropriate. You will assess student progress, maintain records, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Natural Sciences, Science Education, or related field.
  • Teaching qualification or certification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of middle school academic programs and standards.
  • Professional teaching license or credentials as required by local regulations.

Responsabilidades

  • Teaching Biology aligned with the academic curriculum and institutional standards.
  • Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations and maintain records.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment; supervise laboratory activities.
  • Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom resources; meet deadlines.
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and school leadership; participate in meetings.
  • Safeguarding and student wellbeing; follow health and safety policies.

Descripción del empleo

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning Plan, prepare, and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the academic curriculum and institutional standards. Design engaging learning experiences that encourage scientific inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking. Teach topics related to living organisms, ecosystems, genetics, health, environmental science, and biological processes. Incorporate practical activities, experiments, and laboratory work when appropriate. Differentiate instruction according to students’ learning needs and abilities.
  • Assessment and Academic Monitoring. Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations. Maintain accurate records of grades, progress, and learning evidence according to school policies. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student achievement. Identify students requiring additional academic support and collaborate on intervention strategies.
  • Classroom Management and Learning Environment. Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment. Encourage active participation, collaboration, and academic responsibility. Supervise the appropriate use of laboratory materials, equipment, and resources. Ensure compliance with safety procedures during experiments and practical activities.
  • Planning and Documentation. Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom resources. Maintain updated records including attendance, assessments, reports, and academic documentation. Meet deadlines and comply with administrative and academic procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration. Maintain effective and professional communication with parents, teachers, and school leadership. Participate in meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities. Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and institutional initiatives.
  • Safeguarding and Student Wellbeing. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school behavior policies. Report concerns or risks in accordance with institutional safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Natural Sciences, Science Education, or related field.
  • Teaching qualification or certification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of middle school academic programs and standards.
  • Professional teaching license or credentials as required by local regulations.
Experience
  • Previous experience teaching Biology or Science at the middle school level.
  • Experience in lesson planning and academic assessment.
  • Experience managing laboratory activities and safety procedures (desirable).
  • Experience working with adolescents.
  • Experience in educational environments subject to inspections or compliance standards (desirable).
