Job summary

Palmstreet is seeking a Contador Público Certificado (Senior Accountant) to own everything that keeps Palmstreet compliant in Mexico: establishing the local entity, tax compliance, and maintaining the Mexican books. You will report to the Head of Finance, work closely with our engineering team and outside advisors, and handle SAT-facing questions.

This is a hands-on, remote role based anywhere in Mexico with US Pacific overlap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Mexican tax and accounting, with Big 4 or mid-size firm experience.
• Licenciatura en Contaduría Pública with cédula profesional; IMCP certification strongly preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English for memos and US Head of Finance communications.
• Hands-on CFDI 4.0 experience and electronic accounting submissions.
• Experience setting up a Mexican subsidiary for a foreign parent.

Responsibilities

• Lead incorporation of the Mexican subsidiary with external counsel.
• Oversee Mexican tax compliance (ISR/IVA), DIOT, SAT filings.
• Own CFDI integration and invoicing processes with providers.
• Prepare US GAAP reporting packages and support consolidation.
• Develop the Mexico compliance calendar and ensure timely filings.
• Collaborate with engineering and external advisors.
