SmartHire seeks a Senior Accountant for Mexico to build the Mexican subsidiary’s finance function, manage group closes, and oversee percentage-of-completion revenue. You will ensure tax compliance, VAT refunds, and lead an accounting transition project while coordinating with global finance.

The role requires a CPA with cédula profesional, 5+ years IFRS experience in international settings, 2+ years leading a finance team, and advanced ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/Odoo).

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed CPA with a valid professional license (cédula profesional).
• 5+ years of accounting experience handling IFRS closes within an international company or subsidiary.
• At least 2 years of experience leading an accounting and finance department.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
• Experience in inventory setup, auditing, and management.
• Experience in import/export accounting (both actual and virtual).
• C1-level English proficiency for meetings and reporting to international teams.
• Advanced ERP experience configuring accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo).

Responsabilités

• Lead the Mexican subsidiary’s finance function, including group-level financial closes and revenue recognition.
• Ensure tax compliance and VAT refund management.
