Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Mexico City-based Chief Compliance Officer to own the Mexico compliance framework, covering AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC/CDD, and consumer protection across direct operations and partner-enabled channels.

You will be the designated compliance officer under CNBV requirements, maintain regulatory relationships, and support licensing readiness as Remitly expands in Latin America. A strategic, cross-functional leadership role with regional impact.

Formación

• 8+ years of compliance experience in financial services.
• Experience at a remittance company, payment institution, or fintech with Mexico/LAC operations preferred.
• CNBV certification or readiness to obtain one for the Mexico compliance officer role.
• Deep knowledge of CNBV/UIF and other LAC frameworks is a plus.
• Experience designing and operating third-party or partner compliance programs.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design and ongoing effectiveness of the compliance program in Mexico, including AML/CFT and KYC.
• Serve as primary liaison with CNBV/UIF and other authorities; oversee regulatory examinations.
• Develop regulatory intelligence and monitor changes affecting operations and partners.
• Oversee Mexico partner compliance programs, due diligence, onboarding, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to embed compliance-by-design in integrations.
• Lead consumer protection efforts and ensure training and escalation support.
